Rice Pilaf With Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 slices bacon, diced
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 c. rice
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas
2 c. water
1 (1 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp (reserve a small amount for later). Remove from skillet.
Cook onion in small amount of fat until tender.
Stir rice, frozen peas, water, chicken broth, salt and pepper.
Add to bacon and onion.
Heat to boiling point.
Reduce heat to low and cover.
Let simmer about 20 minutes until rice is tender.
