Melon-Ball Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 sprigs fresh mint
    1 c. each: watermelon balls, cantaloupe balls and honeydew balls
Preparation
    Boil sugar, water, salt and mint 15 minutes.
    Let cool. Remove mint.
    Pour over melon balls and cover.
    Chill 2 to 3 hours.
