Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. white Karo
    1 c. canned milk
    3 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    few drops red food color
Preparation
    Mix together first 4 ingredients and bring to boil.
    Cook on low fire for 1 hour.
    Stir occasionally to keep from scorching. Add remaining ingredients.
    Remove from heat.
    Beat a few minutes. Spread on a greased cookie sheet.
    Break into pieces.
