1 1/2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. light molasses
1/2 c. moist cut coconut
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Blend together the Crisco and sugar, creaming well. Add the egg and molasses.
Beat well. Blend in the dry ingredients gradually.
Mix thoroughly. Add the coconut and pecans or walnuts.
Mix well. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 7 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheets.
Makes 3 dozen cookies.
