Randy'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. white cornmeal
    1 egg
    1 to 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Beat egg slightly with milk. Add to dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Add shortening.
    Bake in preheated oven at 425\u00b0 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
