Chocolate Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 egg yolks
    1 Tbsp. butter
    dash of salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook milk, sugar and butter until a soft ball stage when dropped in cold water.
    Melt chocolate over hot water.
    Beat egg yolks well.
    After milk, sugar and butter is cooked, add melted chocolate.
    Add beaten egg yolks and salt to hot mixture.
    Beat until ready to spread.
    Add vanilla and spread on layer cake.
