Dark Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. water (lukewarm)
    1/4 c. molasses
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    3 1/2 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 c. whole wheat flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 c. white flour or more
Preparation
    Soak yeast and sugar for 15 minutes in water.
    Add remaining ingredients and 2 cups white flour.
    Beat 5 to 10 minutes with mixer.
    Stir in rest of flour, enough to make a not too stiff bread dough.
    Knead.
    Place in greased bowl and cover.
    Let rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down.
    Let rise again.
    Shape into loaves.
    Let rise and bake at 375\u00b0 until done, about 45 minutes.
