Orange Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
4 eggs
1 tsp. soda
4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. mixed nuts
1 lb. orange candy slices

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs; beat well.
Add 1 cup buttermilk.
Add soda to other 1/2 cup buttermilk, then add to mixture.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add orange slices (cut up) and nuts.
Blend with other ingredients.
Grease and flour tube pan. Bake for 2 1/2 hours at 275\u00b0.
