Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. cream or milk
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    bread crumbs
Preparation
    Put potatoes, onion, salt, pepper and water in a large frypan and bring to a boil.
    Cook 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    Add cream, butter and cheese.
    Mix lightly and cook uncovered about 10 minutes.
    Top with bread crumbs and serve.
