Savory Pork Chops En Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 large onions, sliced
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 (20 oz.) can tomatoes
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
pinch of oregano
1 c. soft breadcrumbs
2 c. canned applesauce
1 (20 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
6 (1-inch) pork chops
salt and pepper
1/4 c. prepared horseradish
Preparation

Saute onions in butter or margarine.
Add tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano and breadcrumbs.
Combine applesauce and horseradish; mix well.
Combine tomato mixture, applesauce mixture and sauerkraut.
Pour into covered casserole.
Saute pork chops until golden brown.
Lay chops on sauerkraut mixture and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cover; bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until chops are tender.
Yield: 6 servings.
