Bread And Butter Pickles(Diet Center) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 medium cucumbers
    6 medium onions
    1/2 c. salt
    30 packs Equal
    5 c. white vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. ground cloves
    2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Cut cucumbers and onions; toss with salt.
    Place in large magnelite or heavy pot.
    Cover for 1 hour.
    While cucumbers are standing for 1 hour, mix remaining ingredients together.
    Heat until just boiling.
    Drain cucumbers.
    Add mixture.
    Heat until boiling.
    Process into hot jars and lids.
    Yields approximately 9 pints.
    If jars are sealed, it does not require refrigeration.
