Mom'S Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. milk
1 stick oleo
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
2 c. finely diced apples
1 to 3 tsp. cinnamon (to taste)
Preparation

Melt oleo in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
Cut Crisco into flour until it resembles fine crumbs; add milk and mix well.
Turn out onto floured board and knead until smooth.
Roll out to a rectangle shape, 1/4-inch thick.
Spread apples over dough and sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
Roll up like cinnamon rolls and cut into 1-inch slices.
Place slices in pan that has the melted oleo.
Heat sugar and water in saucepan until sugar melts.
Pour this syrup around sliced dough.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 55 minutes.
Make sure you use the 2 cups water as dough will absorb the water.
