Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. chopped Red Delicious apples (leave skin on, use only 2 if very large)
    1/2 c. pineapple juice
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    1 egg, well beaten
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 c. (4 oz.) dry roasted unsalted peanuts, chopped
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, juice, vinegar and egg in saucepan. Heat on medium-high flame until thick.
    Simmer for 5 minutes until like pudding consistency.
    Cool well.
    Fold Cool Whip, apples and 1/2 cup nuts in pudding mixture.
    Place in serving bowl and top with remaining nuts.
    Chill 3 to 4 hours.
