Cherry Sweet Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. dates or raisins
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. orange juice
    3/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. candied cherries
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Sprinkle 1 cup over dates and cherries.
    Cream sugar, butter and eggs; blend until light and fluffy.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Add fruit and nuts last.
    Bake in two buttered loaf pans at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
