Beef And Bean Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 c. finely diced onion
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped (undrained)
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (1 3/4 oz.) pkg. chili seasoning mix
    2 medium carrots, grated
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans (undrained)
    shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Combine ground beef and onion in a Dutch oven.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring to crumble until beef is browned and onion is translucent; drain.
    Add tomatoes and next 3 ingredients; stir well.
    Bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat.
    Simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add beans; simmer 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
    Remove from heat; ladle into serving bowls. Top with shredded Cheddar cheese; serve with crackers.
