Highland Hot Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. rolled oats
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. melted shortening
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Mix oats and milk; let stand 5 minutes.
    Add eggs, melted shortening, then sifted dry ingredients.
    Cook on a hot griddle.
