English Sherry Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 jam sponge roll or 2 pkg. ladyfingers
    1 pkg. Birds custard powder (import section)
    1 large can fruit salad
    4 bananas
    1 pt. low-fat milk
    1 c. Harveys Bristol cream sherry (any golden sherry will do)
    1 pkg. raspberry jello
    whipped cream
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Slice half the sponge roll into 1-inch squares or rounds (or use ladyfingers) into bottom of glass bowl.
    Soak with half the sherry.
    Layer with fruit salad (reserve the cherries), 3 sliced bananas, the remainder of the sponge roll and finish with half a cup of sherry.
