Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. flour
    few drops red food coloring
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    3 c. heavy cream
    1 pt. strawberries, washed and hulled
Preparation
    Combine 1 cup sugar, salt and flour in medium saucepan; add milk gradually.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture thickens and bubbles.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir half the mixture slowly into beaten eggs in bowl; stir back into remaining mixture in saucepan.
    Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute.
    Remove from heat; pour into a large bowl and cool.
    Stir in cream; chill.
