Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. thick applesauce
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add unbeaten egg and beat vigorously.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Add alternately with the applesauce.
Mix thoroughly.
Add nuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoon on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until light brown.
Store in tight container.
They will stay moist.
Put in refrigerator and they will keep indefinitely.
