Alta'S Rolls!!! - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. lukewarm water
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. soft shortening
    7 to 7 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix together 2\tcups
    water, sugar and salt.
    Add yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup water.
    Stir in eggs and shortening.
    Mix in the flour first
    with
    spoon
    and
    then
    by hand.
    When the dough begins to leave
    the sides of the bowl, turn it out onto a lightly floured
    board
    and
    knead.
    Knead\tuntil
    dough
    is smooth, elastic and
    doesn't
    stick
    to
    board.
    (If you use a mixer with a dough hook, this step is eliminated.) Place dough in a greased bowl,
    turning once to bring oiled side up. Cover with a damp cloth
    and\tlet
    rise
    until
    double
    (1
    1/2 to 2 hours).\t Punch down,
    pull
    edges
    into
    center
    and
    turn completely over in bowl.
    Let rise until almost double (30 to 45 minutes).
    Shape into
    rolls.
    Let rise until light (15 to 20 minutes).
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 20 minutes, depending on size of rolls.
    (Cinnamon rolls may be made with dough.)
