Warm Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    3/4 c. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    2 tsp. orange rind
    1/3 c. orange juice
    13 oz. can pineapple chunks, drained
    1 c. peach slices, drained
    11 oz. can mandarin oranges, drained
    1 c. pear slices, drained
    10 maraschino cherries
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    In chafing dish or large saucepan, combine margarine, sugar, cornstarch, orange rind, orange juice and lemon juice.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
    Stir in fruit.
    Simmer just until fruit is warm.
    Serve warm.
