Main Dish Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Mexican style stewed tomatoes, cut up
    3/4 c. quick cooking brown rice
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 (15 oz.) can black beans or red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1/2 lb. thinly sliced cooked beef, cut in strips
    1/2 c. salsa
    12 (7-inch) flour tortillas
    plain yogurt (optional)
    sliced green onion (optional)
Preparation
    In a large skillet, stir together undrained tomatoes, rice, sugar, garlic powder, 2/3 cup water and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
    Simmer, covered, for 12 to 14 minutes or until rice is tender.
    Stir beans, beef and salsa into rice mixture; heat together.
    Wrap tortillas in foil.
    Heat in a 350\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
