Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck green tomatoes
    1 large cabbage
    1 1/2 qt. vinegar
    6 onions
    2 green peppers
    3 red peppers
    6 c. sugar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. whole cloves
Preparation
    Grind first 3 ingredients and put in 1/2 cup of salt and let stand all night.
    Grind onions, green peppers, red peppers and sugar together.
    Put remaining ingredients in sack.
    Boil 1/2 hour.
    Put in jars.
