Dutch Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sour milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. orange extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped apples
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, sifted dry ingredients and milk.
    Add extract, apples and nuts.
    Grease pans.
    Makes 1 large or two small loaves.
    Before baking, put mixture of 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 2 teaspoons sugar on top of loaves.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
