Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. oleo
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening, oleo and sugar.
    Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Put soda in buttermilk.
    Add flour and buttermilk alternately, beginning and ending with flour. Add nuts, coconut and vanilla.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in 9-inch pans for 25 minutes at 325\u00b0.
