Jan Metcalf'S Italian Spaghetti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 (15 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
    2 (12 oz. each) cans tomato paste
    2 envelopes Italian Style spaghetti mix with mushrooms (1 1/2 oz. each)
    3 c. water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 bay leaf
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
Preparation
    Cook and stir ground beef, onion and pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender.
    Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti.
    Simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Place in covered container; refrigerate overnight, if desired.
    Cook spaghetti as directed.
    Heat sauce (a can of mushrooms may be added, if desired).
