Angel Food Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 angel food cake mix
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 envelope gelatin
    No. 2 can crushed pineapple
    3 eggs, separated
    1 small bottle cherries
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Scald the milk.
    Add the beaten egg yolks, sugar and gelatin which has been dissolved in the pineapple juice (heat juice and dissolve).
    Set aside to cool.
    Add pineapple and cut up cherries. Whip the cream and fold into beaten egg whites.
    Fold into pineapple mixture.
    Break angel food cake in pieces and place in pan.
    Pour mixture over and chill.
    Serve with whipped cream and cherries.
