Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
3/4 c. milk
3 Tbsp. chopped onion
4 Tbsp. margarine
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme or 2 bouillon cubes and water
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 Tbsp. water
Preparation

Soften crumbs in milk; saute onions in 1/2 butter.
Add to crumbs.
Add beef, seasonings and egg.
Form into 1-inch balls. Saute in remaining butter for 10 minutes.
Add consomme, simmer covered for 5 minutes.
Remove meat to serving dish.
Blend flour and water and thicken liquid.
Pour over meat and serve.
