Mom'S Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 3/4 lb. veal, diced
    about 3/4 lb. pork, diced, or leftover turkey or chicken may be used
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. diced onions
    1/2 c. water
    3 cans chop suey sprouts and vegetables, drain juice and save
    8 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil.
    Add celery and onions.
    Cover with water. Simmer until tender.
    Thicken juice from sprouts and vegetables with cornstarch mixed with the juice.
    Add soy sauce, brown sugar and vinegar.
    Add sprouts and vegetables and meat.
    Heat through and pour over rice or noodles.
    Amounts can be varied to individual tastes.
