Friendship Pretzels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. flour
    1/4 c. coarse salt
    1 egg
Preparation
    Add yeast to warm water and sugar in large bowl.
    Let stand 10 minutes for the yeast to grow, then add 1 teaspoon salt and flour. Knead in flour.
    Roll out, cut and form into pretzels.
    Bake on cookie sheets covered with foil.
    Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt or poppy seeds.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
