Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 whole eggs
2 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Blend together shortening, white sugar and brown sugar.
Add to this mixture eggs.
Beat well.
Add oats, baking soda, vanilla, baking powder, salt, flour and chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
