Black-Eyed Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cans black-eyed peas, drained
    1 bell pepper, diced
    1 small onion, diced
    2/3 c. salad oil (I use Italian dressing instead of oil)
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 small jar pimento, drained
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Heat sugar, vinegar and salad oil together; heat until sugar is melted.
    Cool.
    Mix other ingredients; pour liquid over vegetable mixture.
    Marinate overnight.
