Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 green tomatoes, sliced
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    salad oil
Preparation
    Combine
    cornmeal,
    salt
    and pepper in a shallow dish. Pour buttermilk\tinto
    shallow bowl.
    Heat 1/2-inch of oil in large cast-iron
    skillet.
    Dip
    tomato
    slices in buttermilk, then
    in cornmeal.
    Dip in buttermilk again, then the cornmeal again. Gently
    drop slices into hot fat and fry on both sides until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
