Ingredients

1/4 lb. sliced dried beef
4 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. flour
1/8 Tbsp. pepper
2 c. milk
Preparation

Tear beef in pieces.
Melt butter in frying pan.
Add beef and saute until light brown.
Sprinkle flour and pepper over beef and blend well.
Add milk slowly, stirring constantly, and cook over low heat until mixture thickens and boils.
Serve in hot dish or on toast or hot biscuits.
Makes 6 servings.
