Family-Size Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 heaping Tbsp. flour
    3 eggs, separated
    4 c. milk
    1 box vanilla wafers
    8 ripe medium bananas, sliced
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix 1 cup sugar and flour.
    Beat yolks slightly.
    Mix yolks with milk, adding just a little at a time to make a smooth mixture. Mix slowly with flour and sugar.
    Cook in double boiler or heavy pot until it begins to thicken; cool a little.
