Apple Walnut Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
    4 c. tart apples, pared and thinly sliced
    1 c. enriched flour, sifted
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/3 c. butter or oleo, melted
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup walnuts.
    Place apples in bottom of greased 8-inch cake pan.
    Sprinkle with the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Combine egg, milk and butter or oleo.
    Add dry ingredients all at once and beat until smooth.
    Pour batter over apples.
    Sprinkle with remaining walnuts.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Top with whipped cream.
