American Persimmon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. persimmon pulp
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 uncooked 9-inch pastry shell
Preparation
    Mix persimmon pulp, egg and milk.
    Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch and add to first mixture.
    Line 9-inch pie pan with pastry and pour in filling.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Then reduce temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 50 to 60 minutes longer. Yields one 9-inch pie.
