Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) box light brown sugar
2/3 c. water
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 stick margarine
1/2 lb. pecan halves
Preparation

Cook sugar, water, salt and margarine to soft ball stage (236\u00b0).
Stir in pecans and remove from heat.
Beat until right consistency and drop onto waxed paper.
(Newspaper under waxed paper makes the pralines come up easily.) Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
