Strawberry Glaze Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    drops of red food coloring
    pie shell, baked and cooled
Preparation
    Bake and cool one pie shell.
    Wash and hull strawberries. Cut up one cup of strawberries.
    Mix sugar and cornstarch.
    In saucepan, slowly add 1 cup water to sugar mixture.
    Blend until smooth.
    Add the cup of chopped berries.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and clear.
    Add a few drops of red food coloring and cool.
    Stir in remaining berries, saving 1/4 cup for garnish.
    Pour into pie shell and cool for about 3 hours. Garnish with remaining berries and serve.
    May also top with whipped cream.
    Serves 6.
