Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 scant tsp. cloves
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
-
Mix well.
Roll in small balls the size of a walnut, then roll in sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
