Sour Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry Jell-O
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (16 oz.) can red sour (pie) cherries
    2 c. liquid
    1 c. chopped nuts
    3/4 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Drain cherries; measure liquid and add water to make 2 cups. Bring to a boil.
    Put Jell-O into a 2-quart bowl.
    Add sugar. Pour boiling liquid over Jell-O to dissolve.
    Refrigerate until consistency of egg whites.
    Fold in cherries, nuts and celery. Pour into mold.
