Abbott Family Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    boiling water
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    4 1/2 tsp. celery salt
    3 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Wash and cut cucumbers into sticks, enough to fill 6 pint jars.
    Pour boiling water over them and let stand 4 to 5 hours. Drain and pack solidly in jars.
    Boil solution of remaining ingredients.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Pour hot over cucumbers in jars. Place covers on jars and process 5 minutes in boiling water.
