Homemade Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cakes compressed yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/3 c. Spry
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 3/4 c. water
    11 to 12 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Crumble yeast into small bowl.
    Add lukewarm water and 1 teaspoon sugar.
    Set in warm place until it becomes light and spongy (about 15 minutes).
    Combine Spry, 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon salt in a large bowl.
    Add scalded milk and water. Stir until Spry is melted.
    Cool until lukewarm.
    Add yeast mixture.
    Add flour gradually, making a stiff dough.
