1 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. shortening
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1 c. bran
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
Grease muffin tin.
Combine sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
In separate mixing bowl, cream the shortening and sugar.
Add egg and beat well.
Stir in milk and bran.
Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir, just until moistened.
Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
