Moravian White Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. butter
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. cream
    2 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation
    Sift flour and baking soda together; set aside.
    Cream butter until softened.
    Add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy.
    Add the eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition.
    Alternately add dry ingredients in fourths and cream in thirds, mixing until well blended after each addition.
    Stir in the water.
    Chill dough for several hours.
    Using a small amount of dough at a time, roll out about 1/8-inch thick on floured surface and cut with fancy cookie cutters.
    Transfer to cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
