Fresh Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 to 1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
3 c. fresh fruit with juice
1 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Mix the first 4 ingredients in saucepan.
Bring to a boil and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Pour into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish and dot with butter.
Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture looks like meal.
Stir in milk.
Drop by spoonfuls onto hot fruit or berries.
Bake until golden brown at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve warm with juice and cream. Serves 6 to 8.
