Ida Bemis' Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 or more apples
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 stick butter
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    nuts (optional)
    raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Cut apples up and place in bottom of buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Mix together the other ingredients; spread on apples.
    (The mixture is \"gooey\" and won't spread perfectly.)
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
