Scottish Oat Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. rolled oats
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. milk
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1/2 c. raisins, chopped
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine flour, rolled oats, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt.
    Rub in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Stir in raisins.
    Add milk and egg.
    Mix until just moist.
