Sheet Cake With Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. milk
    2 cans any flavor pie filling
Preparation
    Mix flour, shortening, salt and baking powder like pie dough. Add egg and milk.
    Roll 1/2 dough between wax paper, the size of a cookie sheet.
    Invert on cookie sheet.
    Spread with favorite filling.
    Roll out other 1/2 of dough.
    Cut into strips to make lattice work.
    Place on top of filling.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool.
    Cut into squares.
