Crock-Pot Steak Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    2 small onions, chopped
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    2 carrots, sliced
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 lb. coarsely ground beef or finely diced chuck roast, browned and drained
    2 to 4 beef bouillon cubes
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Put all ingredients, except butter and flour in crock-pot. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours.
    One hour before serving, turn to high.
    Make a roux of the butter and flour.
    Stir until smooth.
    Pour into crock-pot and stir until thickened.
    Cook soup on high until thickened.
